1 – 15 oz can organic Cannellini Beans, rinsed and drained
2 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
½ tsp yellow mustard (Optional)
1 tbs maple syrup (Optional)
1 garlic clove minced
Sea salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup water
In a food processor add Cannellini Beans, garlic, lemon juice, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, yellow mustard, and maple syrup. Blend well until the mixture is coarsely chopped.
Use the water to achieve your desired consistency.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Transfer the bean puree to a small bowl.
You can also add 2-4 tbs. of fresh herbs like parsley, basil and rosemary for a more rustic flavour and spread on toasted baguette, thinly sliced.
